Purpose/How to Qualify

The Delta Hope House, a food pantry at 440 SW 3rd street in Cooper, is run by community volunteers. Groceries for the pantry are provided by the North Texas Food Bank and local donations.

Service hours are 9:00 am - 12:00 noon every Thursday, and from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm every fourth Tuesday. Qualified persons are allowed to pick up groceries once each month.

Families who desire service must first be qualified at the Hope House on any given Thursday morning by bringing (1) a copy of a recent utility bill, (2) the last 5 digits of the Social Security number for each member of the household, and (3) wage/income verification of all working people living in each household.

In addition, a representative of the North Texas Food Bank is available on the second Thursday of every month at the Hope House to help clients in processing SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF applications.

Why?
